Muhammad Haq, MD, is a board-certified cardiac electrophysiologist at The Heart Center of the Oranges, PA, where he provides expert care in the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders.
Dr. Haq earned his undergraduate degree in biochemistry, with a minor in economics, from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York. He completed his Doctor of Medicine at New York University School of Medicine, followed by an internal medicine residency at Boston Medical Center/Boston University School of Medicine. He went on to complete both cardiovascular medicine and clinical cardiac electrophysiology fellowships at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, serving as Co-Chief Electrophysiology Fellow in his final year.
With over 8 years of clinical experience, Dr. Haq specializes in treating arrhythmias and other complex cardiac electrical conditions, including atrial fibrillation and device-based therapies such as pacemakers and defibrillators. He is board-certified in cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, and internal medicine, and holds level 2 qualifications in both echocardiography and nuclear cardiology.
Dr. Haq has authored several peer-reviewed publications and presented his research at leading national and international cardiology conferences, focusing on cardiac amyloidosis, atrial fibrillation, and advanced cardiac imaging.
He is deeply committed to both clinical excellence and ongoing education. In addition to patient care, Dr. Haq has contributed to medical training resources and led quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing cardiac care delivery.
