Wilam Focazio, MD, is a board-certified specialist in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology with over 30 years of clinical experience. A graduate of Boston College and St. George’s University School of Medicine, Dr. Focazio completed his post-graduate training and fellowships at St. Michael’s Medical Center and St. Joseph’s Hospital, with a focus on infectious disease and gastroenterology. He is licensed in both New Jersey and New York and has longstanding affiliations with multiple hospitals and surgical centers across the region.
In private practice, Dr. Focazio is known for delivering personalized, evidence-based care to a diverse patient population. He founded the Endosurgical Center of Northern NJ, one of the first AAAHC-accredited ambulatory surgical centers in the area, and continues to lead initiatives in patient safety, infection control, and clinical excellence.
Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Focazio is the visionary behind P.A.S.T. (Program for Pro Athletes and Survivors of Trauma)—a national initiative providing comprehensive, multi-specialty care for retired athletes struggling with chronic injuries, addiction, and mental health challenges. Under his leadership, P.A.S.T. assembled a team of 18 physicians to address the full scope of long-term health issues faced by former athletes, highlighting Dr. Focazio’s dedication to underserved and often overlooked communities.
